Celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi
The Friars of the Province of St Barbara have agreed to join the Franciscan family, to invite our myriad prayer communities to dedicate this year’s Transitus services to peace and peacemaking around the world.
To assist you in preparing for a Transitus service we have posted (PDF) file of an English and English-Spanish Transitus service.
The English service is one that we offered at St. Francis Parish, Sacramento in 2006. View Service
The English-Spanish service was offered at St Elizabeth Church, Oakland in 2006.

Please feel free to use as much or as little of these resources as you may be capable of including in your days of prayer.
Finally, we are also inviting the Franciscan family to join an inter-faith day of fasting and prayer on October 8, 2007. This day of fasting and prayer is fully described in the article entitled:
